“Christmas and coordinated”
Without any doubt, two of my favorite things.
Stampin’ Up! has a very handy way of making things that fit together just right. I love how they have coordinated their stamps and punches to make it really quick and easy to create something beautiful. I think this is especially beneficial when it comes to Christmas stamps as you are making stacks of cards and gift tags.
I come from a very closely knit family and Christmas time was really special for us. My grandparents, Oma and Opa, had a holiday home in Ramsgate in South Africa and every December my Uncles, Aunts and Cousins would all head to the coast for a few weeks of summer beach bliss.
My mother and aunts would bake the traditional gingerbread house and we kids would decorate cookies cut from the extra dough.
Oblivious to the architectural nightmare of holding a gingerbread house together in 100% humidity we could happily use litres of icing and every cookie decoration you could imagine. Chocolate sprinkles were a favorite for the boys while we girls prefered the silver balls.
The best cookies to decorate were the trees and the stockings as you could add plenty of detail and that’s maybe why I am so excited about the Simply Stockings punch and Stamp set from Stampin’ Up!
Now officially these are not for release until the Summer Mini comes out but you’ll want them so you can get started on your Christmas cards and tags. So the only way to get your hands on them early is to host a Stampin’ Up! party. Any hostess can purchase the set or punch…or both 🙂 during October. If you earn a certain level in workshop sales you can even get them free!
Contact me to book an event during October – be quick as week one is already complete!
I do think this punch and stamp set will be very popular for mums with kids as it’s really quick to stamp and punch a whole lot of cards and then let the kids decorate them. My girls love handing out Christmas cards at school and they mean so much more when they are home-made. Just remember that it may be better to stamp using StazOn ink if the kids will be using felt tips as it will prevent any smudging!
